Ayhan KAYAPINAR
Been born in 1956 in Afyon. There he completed his studies of elementary school and high school.
In 1975, he has finished the school of education in Istanbul . He has interested in making sculpture and doing painting since 25 years.
In 1989, he has accepted to the fine arts department of the faculty of education in the University of Gazi to complete his academic formation in the field of Pittura Branca Scultura .
In 1993, he has been graduated.
In 1993, he has begun to study master of fine arts under the guide of Prof. Remzi SAVAS, a sculptor, in the fine arts department of the hacettepe University. And also, he has earned MA on Turkish and Islamic Art History, in 1999.
Beginning with 1994, he has been started doing some researches on stones and marbles. He has developed some new techniques on these mediums.
In 1992, he has invited to participate in a course granted by the Italian government with a selective jury in Rome, that study concerned operation of stone and marble. With the proposal of the Rector of Gazi University and with the confirmation given by the Ministry of Education of Turkey, he has been sent to Italy being the only Turkish participant from this country. For 7 months, he has attended the course. At the end of this course, he has been named as the operator of the stone and marble.
In 1989, he has opened a painting exhibition in Afyon.
In 1991, he has opened a painting and sculpture exhibition in Mersin.
In 1992, he has opened sculpture-poetry exhibition in Ankara.
In 1996, he has opened a show, an extension of conceptual art being called: Nostalj-i-mge spaces at Ankara Atatürk Kultur Merkezi .
Besides he has participated in a many group shows. There are some his works of art in private collections and foreign museums. We can mention about the one in the museum of the University of Birmingham among of them and the two other ones which are two reliefs of the Vapo of the State of Thailand in Thailand, and also there are some of the others in Italy, Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia.
Kayapinar has been working on the Contemporary Turkish Poetry . He speaks German , Italian, English and the language of Ottoman.
He has been working as a faculty staff at the Department of Sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Erciyes since 1996 and has been living in Kayseri since then.
